 The Bible tells us:

"That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9)

 

"But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believed in His name." (John 1:12)

 

This is how to receive Jesus Christ:

  • Admit that you are a sinner and your need for Him.

  • Be willing to turn away from your sins.  This is called repenting.

  • Believe that Jesus Christ suffered and died for you on the Cross and rose from the grave.

  • Through prayer, invite Jesus Christ to come in and control your life through the Holy Spirit.  Ask Him to be your Lord and Savior.

How to Pray:

Dear God,

I understand that I have broken Your commandments and sinned against You.  I'm sorry. Please forgive my sins.  I'm willing to change my way of thinking and living, and I'm ready to bring my whole life under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

In Jesus' name I pray.   Amen.
