Road to God      The Road to God

Welcome to the road to God.  The road to God may seem long and very difficult to you right now.  That may be because no one has shown you the directions.  Today we would like to help you to find your way to God and the new life that He offers.   We will be making three stops.  At each stop we will be reading from God's directions the Bible and learn about Him.  So lets get started.

Stop One - Romans 3:23

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"

Sin is breaking Gods Law the "Ten Commandments." Let's see if you have ever sinned.  Have you ever told one lie even a white lie?  Stolen anything even a pen or paperclip?   Hated someone because Jesus said that if you did, you are a murderer.  Felt lust for someone that you are not married to?

If so then the Bible says that you have committed adultery in your heart!  Maybe you have misused God's Name or not honored your parents. There are more but all you need to do is break just one and you have sinned.  The Bible tells us that there will be a Day of Judgment.  On that day Jesus will separate righteous from the rest.  The fate of the rest is...

"And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life." Matthew 25:46

You may try to convince yourself that your sins are small but God is not interested in the size but the deed.  There are no small sins!  The amazing part is that even though we are sinners, God loves us and has made a way to Him.  Stop two will explain God's plan for you.

Stop Two - Romans 6:23

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

God's plan was that Jesus would pay the price for our sin.  God bridged the gap that our sin created and made a way to Himself through the death of His Son.  Jesus was the only one that could do this because He was without sin.  This is what God required.  Jesus Christ paid for our sins when He suffered and died on a Roman Cross and then was raised from the dead.   Jesus suffered and died for you...He loves you that much!   The Bible tells us that:

"For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man's obedience many will be made righteous." Romans 5:19

"For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God." 1 Peter 3:18

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16

Stop Three - Romans 10:9-11,13

"That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.   For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame."...For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."

God also requires something from you.  Remember...God raised Jesus from the dead.  Jesus is alive today and wants to come into your life and have a personal relationship with you!  The Son of God is standing at the door and knocking.  No other person or Religion will ever be able to bridge the gap that your sins have made.  Only a personal relationship with God's only Son will free you from your sins and bring you the peace you desire.  Now you can make the choice to stay in your sinful life or to cross over to eternal life with Jesus.  The next page will explain how to receive Jesus Christ as your Savior.
